What is a fermentation probe?

This is simply a name we have given to a device that is in permanent contact with the wine, provides a continuous output and is measurably affected by the fermentation process.

There have been many devices developed over the years that can do all of the above. There are none that are in wide use today - largely to do with cost and efficiency. Few devices have yielded consistent results and the cost has far outweighed the benefits.

We hope to change that with an affordable device that requires little or no maintenance and can consistently provide accurate on-line fermentation information to the winemaker.
